INSTRUCTIONS |
Installation
Instructions: |
Notes On Installation:
- For use in or near sleeping
areas.
- Install at least 15' from
heating or cooking appliance and at least 6" from the ceiling.
|
Maintenance
Instructions: |
Vacuum the detector once a month with the
brush attachement to remove accumulated dust. |
|
PRINCIPLES
OF OPERATION |
Background: |
Air and CO enters into the detector at the
bottom vent and circulates through the sensing chamber (metal dioxide
sensor), existing through the top vent. Alarm occurs when minimum CO
levels are detected. See the 'CO Detector' file in Engineering for
detailed inforemation on minimum/maximum CO levels as it relates to the
alarm function. |
|
RATINGS |
Approvals: |
Meets UL 2034, ULC . |
Auditory: |
Loudness: 85
db minimum @ 10 ft.
Frequency: 60
Hz .
Duration: Continuous
while minimum levels of CO are present.
|
Battery: |
Nominal Voltage: 9V
Battery-replacement:
Note that the alkaline battery can be
replaced with a lithium battery for longer life.
|
Electrical: |
Voltage: 120
VAC.
Amperage: 80
amps max.
Hush Button: Test/Reset
button works as an alarm shut off. It resets the detector and continues
to monitor CO levels.
Low Battery Indicator:
"Lb" message will display which
will blink alternately with the CO reading every second and the sounder
will chirp every 2 1/2 minutes.
|
Sensitivity: |
Accuracy:
Calibrated at a
CO concentration of 100 ppm (+/- 25 ppm) in air, at 80° F (+/- 10° F )
and 40% (+/- 3%) relative humidity.
Note: Sensor
thoroughly conditioned (minimum seven day warmup period), stabilized and
non-contaminated.
