SP290P
155 deg. Pendent Bulb Brass Sprinkler Head

FEATURES
UL listed and FM approved.
Rugged frame, expanded wrench area.
Tapered orifice prevents turbulence, provides unifrom distribution throughout all pressures.
Unique deflector accounts for high degree of water atomization associated with Firematic sprinklers.
Operates at full volume approximately one-tenth of a second after pressure is released.
Center link is short and rugged, reducing risk of mechanical damage.
SIZE
Height: 2" (not including threaded section) .Extends approximately 2 9/16" from ceiling surface including 1/2" escutcheon plate .

Notes on Installation
  1. Use only Firematic sprinkler wrenches ( SPWR , RSWD ) for installation.
PRINCIPLES OF OPERATION
Background: The center link is held together by solder. This solder is what is known as a 'binary eutectic alloy'. Binary means there are two metals present in the alloy. Eutectic means 'easily melted'. What makes such an alloy perfect for use in sprinklers is that the melting temperature can be controlled simply by altering the amount of one metal present in the alloy with regard to the other
