SP200
155 deg. Pendent Bulb Brass Sprinkler Head

FEATURES
UL listed and FM approved.
Rugged frame, expanded wrench area.
Tapered orifice prevents turbulence, provides unifrom distribution throughout all pressures.
Unique deflector accounts for high degree of water atomization associated with Firematic sprinklers.
Operates at full volume approximately one-tenth of a second after pressure is released.
SIZE
Height: 2" (not including threaded section) .Extends approximately 2 17/32" from ceiling surface including 1/2" escutcheon plate .
Width: 1 3/4"
Threads: 1/2" Thread Type: NPT
Orifice: 1/2" nominal ( 7/16" actual)
RATINGS
Temperature: Activation: 200° F / 93° C ( green bulb )
Tested down to -40° F by UL. Note: the bulb does not suffer any ill effects from cold temperatures - the glycerin inside will not allow the bulb to freeze. If one activates in cold weather, it's most likely due to the high pressures that result from water freezing in a fixed volume (e.g., the pipe).

Scope: Area: 10' x 10'
Miscellaneous: K Factor: 5.7
Bulb Liquid: Glycerin (a.k.a. glycerol, C3H8O3)
More flow data is available upon request.

Notes on Installation
  1. Use only Firematic sprinkler wrenches ( SPWR , RSWD ) for installation.
PRINCIPLES OF OPERATION
Background: The glycerin inside the bulb has a higher coefficient of thermal expansion than the glass bulb. Thus, when heated, it expands faster than the glass, so the glass shatters and the water pressure pushes the retainer out of the way.
